June 23-27 – Moscow Idaho.  Biennial Meeting of ASLE, the Association for the Study of Literature in the Environment. Talk on Henry David Thoreau and Nineteenth Century Science.

April 25 – Glouster, RI, all day.  Rhode Island Statewide Historic Preservation Conference.  Keynote speech: From Sticks to Stones and Back Again: The Underground Story of New England’s Stone Walls

April 23 – Killingworth, CT, at 7:30 PM.   Killingworth Public Library.  Public lecture on New England’s Stony Sense of Place.  The meeting will take place in the FireHouse

April 12 – Concord MA, 1-3 PM.  Walden Pond State Reservation and the Thoreau Society.  Talk on the Geology, hydrology, and meteorology of Walden Pond.

March 23 – Omni Mount Washington Hotel, Bretton Woods, NH, Reagan Room at 1:30 PM.  Geological Society of America Northeastern Section Annual Meeting.  Talk on Thoreau’s Walden and the Glacial Theory in Antebellum America.  

March 1 – Sunday morning at 10:30, Madison, CT.  Shoreline Unitarian Univeralist Society.  Reflection on the Renewal of the Seasons.

June 13 – Friday evening, Storrs, CT.  New England Conference of the North American Lake Management Society.  Banquet lecture on Walden Pond  for registrants.

June 5 – Thursday morning, Concord/Lincoln MA.  The Thoreau Institute Sewardship Lecture Series (re-scheduled from March 13, a winter cancellation). Public lecture/reading on  Walden’s Shore. 

May 27 – Tuesday morning, New London, CT.  The Williams School.  PRIVATE guided stone wall tour of Connecticut College Arboretum, For Williams School only.
