Table RMT 10 – River Discharge Concord.xlsx
This is the monthly data set collected by the USGS at the gaging station at the mouth of the Concord River in Lowell. The idea is to use good 20th century data to characterize the flow regime, and make the assumption that it was broadly equivalent to that of Thoreau’s era. Particularly important are high discharges in June, July, and August, which ruined the hay and gave Thoreau inland lakes.
